Ferntop Nature School Video Story | Nashville Family Photographer and Filmmaker

I’m a homeschooling momma. I had no idea that I would be, it was absolutely not planned! I always assumed that when I had kiddos, they’d go off to school just like I did. The idea first took root when my firstborn was close to preschool age, and my husband started talking about outdoor preschool. I was like, “What?!? Why would anyone go to school outdoors???” It sounded crazy.

We checked it out, it was amazing, and I fell in love! Several years later, I cannot imagine school any other way for my kids. Both have had the honor of spending many precious hours at their outdoor school. When the school asked if I could make a video capturing the wonder of being a student at Ferntop, I was all over it! I loved this school before I made this video. I already knew it was a great place. Being there for a week hanging out with the teachers and kids was such an incredible experience, I feel so very grateful to be able to share this amazing place with others.

Want to know what it’s like to go to Ferntop Nature School? Watch and see!!

Ms. Clare, the founder and owner, wrote this beautiful song. Hearing the kids sing it during their morning meetings was delightful. Ah, to be a kid again! Heck, I wish I could go to school here.
