Mistletoe Farm Alpacas | Franklin, TN

I homeschool my kids, and I come across a lot of really cool activities through local homeschool Facebook groups. When I saw an opportunity to hang out with alpacas for an hour, I couldn’t pass it up!! I really booked the time for me, but I knew my kids would love it!

At Mistletoe Farm, we booked an hour to hang out and learn about these sweet ladies, fed them leaves and were even able to pet a few of them and sit and love on one up close. We were still and quiet, basically a miracle from these three kiddos. It was incredible!! I’m actually surprised that I took pictures of anyone else because I was obsessed with photographing them eating from my hands! Our tour was late in May, and it was a pretty cool day for Franklin, thus the jackets!

The alpacas take a summer break from tours July through Mid-September, so if you cannot get on the schedule for June, check them out again when it’s cooler in the year. We stopped by the gift shop and got teddy bears made with alpaca fur, and they are the softest critters to cuddle. We will be back for sure!
